The following is a list of surnames of prominant families in the Fallen Star.
-Tsuruyuga - Ruling Family of the Crane clan, the heir to the throne of the Fallen Star carries the Tsuruyuga name.
-Hachizan - Ruling Family of the Scorpion clan, the Emperor's second wife is of the Hachizan family.
-Kitsubishi - Ruling Family of the Fox clan, a vassal clan to the Crane. The daimyo of the Crane clan's heir married the third (and only surviving) daughter of the Fox Clan, contradicting his father's wishes, and was exiled and disinherited.
