I preordered and played a bit of the Beta.
I loved character creation. The avatars looked badass. The feat and skill selection was nice.
As far as gameplay... I didn't like the camera. The dose of action RPG feel was nice.
As far as world... The game was one city...it felt like a really, really crowded single player game. I didn't feel like I was in the world, I felt like I was in a computer game... at least WoW was big and fun to explore. DnD Online was just a string of dungeons...really well put together dungeons, but that doesn't change the facts.

Thirdonded. It was too small for my liking, but it was the first time I actually enjoyed 'hunting' in an MMO since old school Everquest and Ultima Online. It was fun to go into dungeons and stuff, and have that storyteller hanging over your head.

DDO had a lot of good design aspects, but unfortunately the overarcing theme wasn't done particularly well.
