Campaign Notes - Anthros Setting, "Villains Seeking Employment" Session 1 24 May 2005 GM: Trailfoot
All Zalten mourns for the Spinning Starfish, for it was a thing more rare than mythril... a clean, well-kept inn in one of the Tower-villages. It was burned after a group of adventurers... no one would call them 'heroes' - survived an attack by the Hunters. They learned what they could of this dangerous organization before their captive committed suicide by breaking a poison capsule. They should have listened to the Troglodyte and removed the teeth...
The group then moved off to the west, through the Swampland of Xan and toward the Empire of Celeis. Nine days of travel await them if they are not hampered. They met, on the last day, the mysterious Arphaxlad, a dragon-kin dressed in a black cloak.

The party continued west through the tainted swamps of Xan, slowly working their way toward the Empire of Celeis. However, they came under attack by Captain Artie and the crew of the pirate ship Goblin's Pride. Celena and her owl were badly wounded in the battle, but it was victorious, and Artie was captured. He was made to give allegiance to Tybal, which he seems to show no intention of violating.
After that came the Black Storm, a rain smelling of decay and brimstone, believed by the Goblins of Xan to be the revenge of the Dragon-Gods against the Dark Red Dragon Kronin. The storm was bizarre and powerful, but more powerful was what flew overhead.
The Eldest of Red had awakened.
After the storm, the party arrived in the Celeisian border village of Selius, and found passage with a caravan to the Imperial City.

Session 3 20 May 2006 GM: Nephallim
Our ne'er-do-wells set off from Sirius under the direct employ of Caravan Master Malger Streyn and Guard Captain Tetsumaru, and the indirect employ of Horizon Arms and Armor, one of the largest merchant combines on the Fringe.
The first night on the road, the caravan was beset by a band of orcish bandits but, with the aid of Celena's familiar, our ne'er-do-wells managed to get the drop on the unsuspecting brutes.
When the fighting was over with, Celena took Tybal to search the woods for her familiar, which had at some point fallen from the sky. When the Celeisian and the troglodyte returned from the woods, the Celeisian declared that the orcs had withdrawn and would hound the caravan no more.
How does she know this? Why would the orcs leave the caravan be? What happened to her familiar?
