Blinstone
Despite the name, Blinstone isn't a stone at all, but rather a special metal mined exclusively in Blin. Prized for its wicked ability to hold a razor-sharp edge, Blinstone weapons are parceled out to the veterans of the Blin army, and exchanged with Teras for slaves.
There are several qualities of Blinstone weapons.
Firstly is Common Blinstone. Weapons made of Common Blinstone have a jagged, flint-like edge that greatly increases its ability to deal damage. Such weapons cost an additional 300 gold pieces and deal +2 damage of the weapon's type. Bludgeoning weapons cannot be made of Common Blinstone.
Blinstone Alloy is a mix of Blinstone with another rare metal, usually Mythril or Cold Iron. Such weapons cost an additional 150 gold pieces and deal +1 damange of the weapon's type. Once again such weapons cannot be capable of dealing bludgeoning damage.
True Blinstone is exceptionally pure and prized by chosen warriors of the Dark Force. In addition to the properties of Common Blinstone, True Blinstone weapons can store up to three levels of clerical spells (three first level spells, one second level spell and one first level spell, or one third level spell) which can be cast on the target of any creature struck by the True Blinstone weapon as a free action. Such weapons cost an additional 1000 gold pieces.
No Blinstone weapons can be masterworked and thus they cannot be enchanted by normal means. Clerics of the Dark Force with thirteen or more ranks in the craft (weapons) skill may craft magical Blinstone weapons.
